In the previous edition, we revealed something we were working on, but today we explain properly what this was about.
As you were able to see both in the shopping centre and on our social networks, a charity campaign took place over three weeks with the aim of donating 2000 Kg of food to the Red Cross.
And, how did we do it? We put GPS devices on 10 made in Garmol shopping trolleys which measured the distance travelled around the shopping centre and directly transferred it to a website which showed the number of km need to complete the challenge and the participation ranking.
The only thing people had to do was take one of the trolleys and walk with it, and it was a real success! Marina Alta showed their charitableness and we met our goal in less time than we expected. Thanks to the 140 participants who took part in this initiative and covered 1040 km with Charity Trolleys, we have donated more than 2000 kg of food to the Red Cross.
